Seems I am not the only one to notice the daft nature of the some of the ‘wanted’ postings on my freecycle list.
Freecycle London is one of the largest lists; and attracts some of the most amusing scavenging.
Recent hopefuls include: “Wanted: ibook” and “Wanted: 1-2 acres of land to keep horses on.”

Another real-life horror story similar in a way to the Man held in mental asylum for 54 years… by mistake. A lady who got lost after getting on the wrong bus and was unable to get home survived five years living as beggar in a country where she could not speak the language, until she was arrested and detained in a ‘homeless centre’ for a further 20 years, before finally being miraculously found.
