I was sure I’d posted on this before, but I couldn’t find it anywhere and I loved it so much it’s worth a second post. Lockheed Martin and the US Navy are working on a swimming spy plane that launches underwater from the torpedo tube of a submarine, performs it’s mission and is recovered back the sub by a robot drone. Now that’s cool.

Also on Popular Science – Jaguar’s new exploding bonnet uses airbag technology to lift on impact with a pedestrian, giving a soft(er) crumpling surface for the unfortunate person to collide with.
