I love this article. This article is exactly the kind of thing Gnome developers need to be thinking over. Better still, this article is exactly the kind of thing they are thinking about and it shows in the latest releases. Gnome/KDE are closing the gap with Windows/Mac for GNU/Linux distros. Mac desktops may stay out of their reach for now but with the delayed and lame looking release of Vista, they have the breathing space and momemtum to catch and pass windows on a technical level. Of course it is a different story to overturn the market inertia, but at the end of the day that doesn’t really matter all that much, people who want to be Free will have the option and the sheep will get a better product if MS are forced to compete. Go GNOME!

So, without further ado, I present my first draft of “The highest version numbers ever used”.

I’m trying a cool online trading game called alexadex. You trade virtual shares in domain names based on their ranking on Alexa.
I’m attempting to cash on a newly popular site, we’ll see if I make anything!
UPDATE: I got onto the daily top 10 with a 759% profit on a site listed on digg lol (see image). this game is too easy, bored now.
Also, just by preventing leechers from hotlinking a few pictures on my webserver, I have cut my bandwith nearly in half. Down from 170Mb per day to just 90Mb per day. Page views are unaffected.

Excessively cute photos of a baby something… Can’t tell if it is actually a Red Panda or not.
Here’s a real one, for comparison:
